Job description

Our team in Asia is facing an exciting growth, and we are looking for passionate consultants to join our team in Asia. We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Insurance department, to lead client projects in the sector.

Position overview:

As a Senior Consultant, you will help to build our expertise and guarantee the quality of delivery to ensure market-leading practices for our Hong Kong office, considering the global nature of our organisation and our clients. 

This will involve: 

  • Participainge in projects with leading companies in the insurance industry. 
  • Being hands on and contributing to the successful execution of client’s projects. 
  • Being a part of our office's growing strategy with a focus on content development and business development 
  • Working closely with our other offices and leverage our global network to take part to cross-selling initiatives and widely share our knowledge. 
  • Sharing consulting best practices with the team. 
  • Taking part to the recruitment process of future Consultants. 

Ideal background: 

The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry, with knowledge and experience in managing specific workstreams of client engagements. This includes:  

  • Insurance value chain (Life, GI and/or Health) products and services, 
  • Operations and administration of insurance products and services businesses, 
  • Documentation and identification of key controls within the transaction lifecycle, 
  • Digital transformation including data, IT tools and technology.  

Additionally, the candidate should have proven experience in consulting projects related to business improvement, target operating model, business processes mapping & reengineering, performance management design & implementation, benchmarks & analysis. 

The candidate should also possess excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage business projects with both internal stakeholders and third parties. Finally, the candidate should be able to work independently, accelerate project delivery, and efficiently mitigate, deter, and escalate risks and issues. 

Additionally, as part of our global activities, your participation will be required in the following areas: 

  • Supporting our global IP publication activities such as studies, benchmarks, articles, insights, and more. 
  • Contributing to business development by participating in commercial activities, including the development of pitches, responses to RFPs, and defining client needs. 

Qualifications

  • At least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Economic, Business or Finance. 
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in the management consulting industry and/or Insurance industry. 
  • Experience in delivering business transformation to a top tier insurance and/or banking companies. 
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive - thrives on growth challenges regarding client development and business development. 
  • Good understanding of insurance products, processes, and technologies (i.e., Insurtech/Fintech) 
  • Fluency in English is a must, with knowledge of Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) highly preferred
