Fares Barsaoui

Fares joined Sia in 2018, after graduating from HEC Paris in 2012.

He has developed expertise in the banking, insurance, and financial services sectors, as well as cross-sectorial experience in AI transformation, operating model redesign, and large-scale data strategy.

Over the course of his career, Fares has advised executive committees and C-level leaders on ambitious yet pragmatic AI initiatives, including the setup of AI Factories, deployment of sovereign and Agentic AI solutions, and the industrialization of AI at scale. He is the architect behind Sia’s proprietary SCALE framework, which enables enterprise-wide adoption of AI. His major contributions include the design of a Data & AI roadmap for a leading banking group, the launch of an enterprise AI Factory, and the development of a Data & AI Academy that has upskilled over 1,000 employees on GenAI tools and data culture.

Today, Fares is based in Paris, with engagements spanning across France and Europe, where he focuses on AI function transformation, IT modernization, and AI maturity assessment frameworks.

He has recognized expertise in the following areas: Agentic AI, enterprise AI deployment, IT governance, and AI operating model transformation. He is also a mentor in Sia’s internal Leadership for Impact program, and a regular speaker and author on the future of AI and IT strategy.
