Gender-coded language in Dutch job ads
Sia Partners researched the use of gender-biased language in Dutch job ads for the first time in January 2020. In light of Diversity Day in the Netherlands, Sia Partners repeated the research.
With the help of our gender-coded language tracker bot, we analysed 13.900 job ads of 350 companies on Indeed in September 2020.
Our latest research shows an overall shift towards the usage of feminine-coded language. 56% of the industries in the Netherlands is feminine-oriented. The number of industries that are feminine-oriented has increased by 70% compared to January 2020.
