Job description

We are working with a client in need of a IT Business Analyst to support of a Transportation Management System implementation. The IT Business Analyst will be responsible for creating business process flows and requirements documentation in an Agile environment. This is a contract to hire opportunity.

Project Length: 5-6 months, Contract to Hire

Location: Remote 

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, interpret, define, and document detailed requirements and acceptance criteria for multiple workstreams with the implementation project.
  • Lead and/or supports Testing efforts through defect resolution and acts as the SME for all assigned project efforts.
  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to deliver detailed requirements, initiate action and adapt to change
  • Solid ability to prioritize analysis deliverables, and recommend alternative solutions when needed
  • High level of technical fluency
  • Experience with business analysis frequently produced documents and techniques: 
    • SDLC, process mapping, VOC, data analysis, user story generation, requirements gathering, wireframing, UAT, options analysis
    • Skillful in gathering/analyzing requirements/features, and hands on experience in writing, presenting, and creating high level designs, process flows, mapping current state and future state process workflows, User interface (UI) requirements, UI analysis results, Data models and requirements.
  • Experience with assessing data quality; identifying patterns, trends, and issues in data sets
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate that benefit through qualitative success stories and quantitative value evidence
  • Experience developing basic logical data model diagrams

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience as a technical business analyst with expertise in different technologies, business areas and end-to-end experience gathering requirements for system implementation projects
  • Transportation or related Industry experience highly desirable
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities; attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience, including both verbal and written communications
  • Exceptional critical-thinking skills; must be a self-starter
  • CBAP or Lean Six Sigma Certifications desired but not necessary
  • Bachelor's degree required.
