Job description

The US Finance Transformation Business Unit supports both the Financial Services and Corporate sectors, delivering premier consulting services to our clients including, but not limited to:

  • Strategy & Operations
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Financial & Regulatory Advisory
  • Finance & Risk Convergence
  • Turnaround & Restructuring

As part of Sia’s Finance Transformation BU working under the Transaction Cost Optimization team, you will work directly with clients to assist in cost optimization strategies related to the execution and clearing of all financial products globally.  You will interact with business managers, traders and operations personnel to develop broker negotiation strategies, exchange fee optimization programs and operational improvements in clearance and settlement.  As you will be communicating in high paced environment such as trading, you will need possess strong communication skills and an ability to assimilate information and feedback in a highly dynamic environment. 

We are looking for candidates who have experience in Capital Markets CAO, COO and/or Finance roles who are familiar with products such as FX Derivatives, Interest Rate Products, Futures, Commodities, Equity Derivatives and cash products.  More specifically, but not necessarily required is experience in brokerage, clearing and exchange fees and/or familiarization in trade processing of fixed income, equities, commodities and/or futures.  A strong understanding of accounting, finance and business reporting in capital markets is also preferred. 

This role also involves analyzing very large data sets including trade execution and you will need to possess strong analytical skills, familiarity with analytics packages such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Excel, etc. and an ability to manipulate data to provide clear and actionable output with which to assist banks in modifying their trading behavior.

  • Lead major projects and manage relationships with flagship and key accounts
  • Leverage existing knowledge and experience to refine and enhance the client experience and deliverables
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, fostering a collaborative work environment between the client and the engagement team
  • Summarize and presents findings to project managers and clients
  • Collaborate with engagement team to deliver high-quality and timely work products
  • Apply strategic and critical thinking to develop recommendations that address client challenges
  • Lead business development, thought leadership and proposal efforts that differentiate the Sia Partners brand from our competitors
  • Drive sales efforts and lead internal corporate initiatives
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior resources



  • Undergraduate and/or advanced degree (MBA, JD, PhD or equivalent) from a top university
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of prior professional experience as a leader in management consulting supporting the financial services industry or financial functions
  • Strong industry knowledge and deep finance function / domain knowledge (see “About the Opportunity”)
  • Ability to manage client relationships and networks, present to senior audiences, and work day-to-day with senior and mid-level clients
  • Ability to multi-task competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership experience
  • Flexibility to travel, as necessary


  • Prior experience driving sales efforts and leading internal Business Development
  • Relevant Professional Certifications
