Supported by Augmented & Artificial Intelligence, Automation and Data Science, we empower our clients to make the right decisions at the right time for the right reasons.

The global Data Science capability at Sia Partners consists of more than 100 Data Scientists located across Canada, The Netherlands, The UK and France. Data Scientists work alongside Web Developers to build visually impressive front-end products and dashboards on top of cutting-edge technology. The team in London predominantly support projects across a diverse cross-section of business sectors including Banking, Energy, Defence, Technology and others. You might find yourself working in one or more of the following disciplines to help our clients achieve their aims:

  • Machine/Deep learning and statistics- Development of explanatory and predictive models for decision support through the development of algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis, etc.
  • Operational research- Assistance in the design and implementation of constrained optimisation solutions and simulation models.
  • Big Data- Algorithmic knowledge for the processing of large volumes of structured and unstructured data

As a Consultant Web Developer, you will be responsible for…

  • Delivering high quality work with some oversight within the UK Data Science team.
  • Supporting the front-end delivery of data science projects, potentially working cross several key clients in the UK and, if required, support overseas engagements.
  • Developing applications and dashboards, predominantly in react.js and PowerBI.
  • Developing an understanding of what the business does, the clients in your sector and the services your practice offers.
  • Supporting the development of Sia Partners 'assets' and IP including methodology, tools, templates, guidelines and lead initiatives to continuously improve and integrate them with other Sia Partners assets across the Practice.
  • Supporting the development of blogs and articles.
  • Supporting the recruitment process and taking an active part in the Intern and Graduate schemes.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • 1-2 years' Web Development experience, ideally in a consulting environment or within a Data Science function, but other experience will be considered.
  • Experience with React.js and associated frameworks and development environments.
  • Experience developing PowerBI dashboards is nice to have.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to adapt rapidly, and work on a range of different business areas within a challenging environment and keeping to tight deadlines.
  • Project experience in one or more of the following areas: strategy design, regulatory analysis, operational improvement and/or project management.
  • A demonstrable understanding of the energy value chain.
  • Examples of utilising and visualising quantitative analysis to generate actionable insight.
