Ryan Shellard

Ryan joined Sia in 2015, after starting his career in banking and energy. He holds a BEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Stellenbosch and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). 

He has developed deep expertise in the energy, utilities, and infrastructure sectors, as well as cross-sectorial experience in regulatory strategy, commercial advisory, stakeholder engagement, and innovation management. 

Over the past decade, Ryan has successfully delivered strategy and performance improvement programmes for regulators, utilities, and investors across the UK. His work includes leading customer and stakeholder engagement programmes, advising on regulatory frameworks, and coordinating cross-sector innovation initiatives—particularly within the energy and water sectors. 

Today, Ryan is based in the United Kingdom, where he focuses on regulatory and commercial strategy, infrastructure transformation, and collaborative innovation to support the energy transition and the modernization of utility services.
