Scaling GenAI Adoption in Luxury Retail

Sia helped a global luxury retailer turn its generative AI rollout into a governed, enterprise-wide capability through leadership alignment, employee adoption, an operating model and a tailored compliance framework.

Context

Many companies have rolled out generative AI assistants to their employees. Turning that rollout into a governed, widely adopted capability requires executive alignment, change management, an operating model and compliance.

A major luxury retailer, with a global workforce spanning several consumer brands and corporate functions, wanted to turn its enterprise generative AI rollout into a governed, adopted capability.

Client Challenge

The retailer set four goals, pursued in parallel:

  • Align the executive leadership team on an AI ambition.
  • Activate change across the organization.
  • Operationalize an AI operating model.
  • De-risk compliance.

What Sia Did

Sia ran four workstreams:

  • Executive alignment: the executive team aligned on an enterprise AI ambition and domain prioritization, through an offsite, an executive masterclass and a leadership AI survey.
  • Change and adoption: a 12-month strategy, an AI narrative and role-based messaging validated by the executive team; five enablement sessions, an AI champion network and hackathon playbooks.
  • Operating model: a first AI operating model (governance rituals, intake, fast-track versus strategic tracks) embedded through use-case sprints.
  • Compliance: a focused AI compliance framework aligned with existing risk, legal and IT governance.

Results & Outlook

The retailer gained an aligned leadership team, a change and adoption strategy, an AI operating model in use and a compliance framework, the foundations of a governed, adopted generative AI capability.

By combining leadership alignment, change management and practical governance, Sia helps companies turn AI tools into lasting capability.
