Context
Collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) shape costs and working conditions for years. Ahead of each negotiation, labor relations teams need fast access to past concessions and to industry reference agreements, often scattered across dozens of documents.
A Canada and U.S. food and beverage group needed real-time visibility across its roughly 21 CBAs.
Client Challenge
The group needed to:
- Get fast access to past concessions and industry reference agreements ahead of negotiations.
- Go beyond a first proof of concept, built on Sia's SiaGPT, to handle HR's most complex questions with the right discovery and governance.
What Sia Did
Sia built a new labor relations application, an agentic engine designed for HR's needs:
- Governance first: a governance and business needs analysis that turned HR's questions into a scoped, testable solution.
- Knowledge base: more than 200 CBAs and industry reference agreements in a multi-layer knowledge base, with agents supporting 20 negotiations.
- Structured testing: structured testing on complex HR questions before going live in production.
Results & Outlook
The tool was used live in negotiations:
