The Business Transformation Business Unit specializes in partnering with organizations to accelerate growth by driving employee engagement and adoption. This is achieved through cross-sector and cross-functional support in strategy, leadership alignment and coaching, large-scale transformation, strategic change management, and HR modernization efforts. The focus lies in functional transformation, digital and AI transformation, and cultural transformation. Our dedicated team helps navigate complexities for sustainable success in a rapidly evolving marketplace. 

Sia’s Managing Directors (MDs) are pivotal leaders who drive the firm’s strategic direction and long-term success. They are accountable or accelerating  business growth through business development, client relationship management, consulting delivery, and team Leadership.    

In addition to client acquisition and growth, MDs serve as trusted advisors – bringing thought leadership, strategic foresight, and industry best practices to help clients navigate complex transformation journeys. They play a critical role in shaping the firm’s consulting capabilities and mentoring the next generation of leaders. 

Job description

Lead and Deliver Transformation  

  • Lead high-impact client engagements at the executive level, remaining actively involved in delivery while serving as a trusted advisor to C-suite leaders.
  • Advise CHROs and senior HR leaders on workforce and HR transformation, including operating model design, organization design and HR technology.  
  • Partner closely with CFOs and finance leaders to connect HR strategy to financial outcomes including workforce cost transparency, productivity, budgeting, and value realization 
  • Connect people strategy to financial outcomes such as workforce cost transparency, productivity, budgeting inputs, and value realization.  
  • Guide clients through AI-enabled transformation, balancing innovation with governance, controls, and adoption. 

Drive Growth

  • Originate and grow senior-level client relationships with CHROs, CFOs and executive leadership teams.  
  • Own revenue targets through new business development, executive relationship building and strategic account expansion.  
  • Shape and launch market-relevant offerings at the intersection of people strategy, finance, and enterprise transformation, with a clear focus on measurable business and financial impact.

Serve as a Trusted Advisor  

  • Act as a thought partner to CHROs, CFOs and executive leadership teams navigating complex organizational and workforce change.
  • Translate talent and workforce decisions into clear business and financial implications, enabling informed executive and board-level decisions. 
  • Bring Practical insight, executive presence, and a strong point of view grounded in experience leading enterprise transformation. 

Build Teams and Capability  

  • Attract, mentor, and develop top consulting talent, with a focus on executive readiness and delivery excellence.
  • Set clear expectations for quality, collaboration, and accountability across complex, multi-stream engagements.  
  • Contribute to the evolution of the firm’s business transformation capabilities and long-term strategy.  

External Market Leadership & Visibility (Required)  

Candidates must demonstrate an established external presence, including active participation in industry-facing activities, such as:  

  • Speaking engagements at industry conferences, client forums, or professional events.  
  • Panel participation or moderation on relevant business, functional, or industry topics.  
  • Professional memberships in recognized industry associations or advisory councils.  
  • Regular attendance and/or leadership involvement in executive-level events or forums that support brand building, client development, or thought leadership.  

Qualifications

  • Currently based in New York with a strong local network of senior executive buyers across industries.
  • 9+ years of consulting experience, with a focus on business and HR transformation and a demonstrated ability to apply a strong financial lens.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • Proven ability to lead sales/business development efforts supporting and expanding existing client relationships and revenue growth.
  • Demonstrated track record of generating new client opportunities while delivering complex consulting engagements. 
  • Passionate about providing guidance and coaching delivery teams.

Competitive Compensation 

Compensation Range: $180,000-$250,000 per year (base salary only). Actual base salary within this range will be determined based on skills, experience, and qualifications. Additional compensation includes personal sales bonus (uncapped) and guarantees (discretionary bonus opportunities) aligned with objectives.
