Job description

Sia Partners is looking for a talented Management Consultant/ Senior Consultant to support our Risk, Regulatory & Compliance practice serving our clients as a project manager. The project manager will work closely with our clients compliance and legal teams, leading cross-functional initiatives around Compliance-Transaction Monitoring.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in projects with leading banks and Financial Institutions
  • Conduct regulatory compliance review, internal control review, policies and procedures, risk and compliance advisory and other independent assessments as per the regulatory requirements
  • Be hands on and contribute to the successful execution of client projects.
  • Assist in the development of new intellectual property including leading-edge research on white papers, supporting the development of marketing materials, and assist in publishing articles
  • Work closely with our other offices and leverage our global network to take part in cross-selling initiatives and widely share our knowledge

More experienced candidates will have these additional responsibilities:

  • Independently drive the success of a work stream by directing activities, ensuring high quality deliverables, and timely submissions
  • Managing a team of consultants by defining meaningful work packages, managing activities, and close mentorship
  • Participate in business development activities including content development, proposal preparation, and sales presentations
  • Share consulting best practices with the team

Transaction Monitoring Responsibilities:

  • Handle automated alerts generated by AML/CFT Transaction Monitoring tools or AML/CFT Transaction Monitoring queries
  • Identify automated alerts requiring further analysis or investigation
  • L1 Analysis: Make reference to KYC and Client information system, transaction details and previously escalated alerts to understand usual and expected client behavior to contextualize the alert transactions.
  • Communicate with the Relationship Managers/ Front Office to understand suspicious transactions
  • Timely monitoring of alerts generated by AML monitoring system (Transaction Surveillance in line with the internal policies of the bank.
  • Review / Analyze the alert and ensure timely and effective disposition of the alerts. Work closely with stakeholders on AML / KYC / Sanctions related items
  • Work closely with stakeholders including operations, business, compliance, legal, audit and other units on AML / KYC related items
  • Provide support / Assistance for other AML / KYC requirements
  • Provide support on various requirements like updating of watch lists / caution lists, filing of regulatory reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in accounting or related field
  • 2- 4 years of recent project management experience in a regulatory, compliance, legal, privacy, and/or securities-related projects required
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues affecting clients
  • Understanding of Legal and Compliance functional areas and previous experience in similar topics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and methodologies including agile/scrum
  • Certifications (PMP, CAPM, Agile, etc.) welcome
  • Prior experience in Transaction Monitoring
