A Roadmap From Pharma Innovation to Market

Sia supported a U.S. Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Tech Hub in turning regional innovation into commercial impact, delivering an actionable, partner-owned roadmap with clear priorities, targets, ownership and timelines.

Context

Governments are investing in advanced, AI-enabled domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing. Turning research and innovation into commercial impact requires a clear view of demand, regional assets and gaps, and a roadmap that all partners own.

A U.S. state's Advanced Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (APM) Tech Hub had received a federal award to develop and scale advanced, AI-enabled domestic pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Client Challenge

The Tech Hub needed to:

  • Identify the innovations it could accelerate across the state's biohubs.
  • Understand APM demand, regional assets and system gaps.
  • Build an actionable Innovation-to-Commercialization (I2C) roadmap.

What Sia Did

Sia worked in two phases:

  • Pipeline market analysis and landscape: a statewide landscape analysis identifying innovations from the state's five biohubs that the Tech Hub can accelerate; a clear view of APM demand, regional assets and system gaps; focus areas grounded in regional strengths and peer benchmarks; shared definitions of success across R&D, innovation and commercialization, with a metrics framework aligned to I2C.
  • Roadmap development: interactive workshops to validate and sequence initiatives, refined through partner conversations.

Results & Outlook

The Tech Hub gained an actionable Innovation-to-Commercialization framework and roadmap, with finalized targets, ownership and timelines.

By combining market analysis, stakeholder engagement and practical roadmapping, Sia helps innovation hubs turn research into commercial impact.
