We are working with a client in need of a qualified System Administrator for an engagement opportunity at a leading local biologic life sciences company.  This role will assist in the implementation, maintenance and support of the Benchling ELN.  This role will create and maintain necessary operational procedures, assist in the configuration/customization of the system, and provide training to staff members.  This position requires flexibility with changing priorities.

Project Length: 6 months plus

Location: Remote (50%) as well as on-site (Philadelphia)

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and maintenance activities.
  • Configures and customizes the system as per user requirements.
  • Serve as first point of contact for issue resolution.
  • Conducts user-training sessions for end users.
  • Acts as liaison between the company, the vendor, and managed service provider(s) to address system issues/requests.
  • Evaluates product enhancements, capabilities, and feature releases, in addition to implementing upgrades as required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the administrative functions of Benchling.
  • Troubleshoot/offer advice as the Benchling subject matter expert (SME) where required.
  • Develop a deep understanding of system use, data flows and configured architecture.

Compétences

  • Bachelor's degree required. Demonstrated experience is more important than specific degree field.
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting laboratory digital systems in an R&D and/or Technical Development domain.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated working understanding of laboratory operations and practices.
  • Strong organizational and/or project management skills.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects for different business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience, including both verbal and written communications.
  • Able to handle multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a widely disbursed, fast paced, team environment.
