Sia Partners is excited to expand our Western Canadian presence and global footprint.  We recently acquired a boutique consulting firm based in Edmonton, and are thrilled to continue that growth trajectory! We are looking to hire a seasoned Talent Acquisition Specialist to help us augment the team in Edmonton. 

*NOTE* For this role - you will be able to work from home - but we have strong preference for the individual to be LOCAL TO EDMONTON. In-person meetings will be required, and existing knowledge of the Edmonton market and talent network will be paramount to success in this role.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will report directly to a Senior Partner, and this will be a full-time/permanent role.

As a recruiting principle, we focus on quality and not quantity. We want to build relationships with the candidates and our consultants. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is our brand ambassador for building those relationships with all potential candidates.

This is not a client facing role. There are no sales or account management responsibilities.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain recruiting plans based on supply and demand.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates: both contractors and potential permanent employee candidates
  • Leverage online recruiting resources to identify and recruit the very best candidates.
  • Manage the application process.
  • Develop job postings ensuring an understanding of job duties, responsibilities and business requirements
  • Manage the scheduling and logistics of all interviews.
  • Conduct interviews and screening of all applicants.
  • Provide complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the firm and role.
  • Perform detailed reference checking and/or reference analysis. 
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation on all candidates, searches, interactions and other recruiting activities.
  • Create, update, and present weekly recruiting reports.
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques.
  • Attend recruiting conferences/fairs, industry events to promote the company and help identify potential candidates.

Administrative & Sales-Support Tasks

  • Create, update, and maintain resumes for new candidates for promotion to Sia clients.
  • Update and manage resumes for consultants coming off an assignment to ensure the resume is ready to use for marketing on opportunities. 
  • Maintain candidate records in terms of contact information and availability status
  • Assist in resource-management and promotion of consultants to new assignments
  • Help identify suitable consultants or new candidates for client opportunities.
  • Manage regular updating and maintenance of the Consultant Handbook.
  • In collaboration with HR and Senior Management, Conduct Onboarding/Orientation of all new candidates joining the team, for both contractors and employee hires.

Compétences

  • The Talent Acquisition Specialist requires a minimum of 5 years recruiting experience.
  • Must have experience recruiting senior level professionals in roles such as Project & Program Managers, Organizational Development Specialists (OCM), Business Analysts, Business Process Consultants, and Management Consultants.
  • Experience recruiting “professional” contracted consultants as well as employee consultants.
  • The ability to respond with appropriate urgency to find candidates for contracted positions.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Experience working for other Management Consulting firms will be seen as an asset.
