John joined the firm as a Partner in 2019 through the acquisition of Gartland & Mellina Group
John has close to 30 years of experience in business and operational strategy, product strategy and rationalization, large-scale program management, middle and back office outsourcing, process and efficiency improvement, and financial modeling and analysis. His financial services industry experience spans asset management, brokerage, mutual funds, capital markets, retail banking, private banking, personal trust, and regulatory compliance.
As the Head of US Financial Services, John is responsible for leading the identification of business development opportunities and organic growth strategies throughout our US Financial Services practice. In addition, John oversees the development of highly customizable strategic analyses, operational and technology solutions in operational resilience, LIBOR transition, ESG/Climate Risk, FinTech, call centers, and Market Data Solutions across the banking, capital markets, wealth management, asset management and private equity sectors.
Prior to joining Sia Partners John was a founding partner of Gartland and Mellina Group and held positions at BearingPoint and Morgan Stanley. John has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and an MBA in Investments from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business
